Cedar, a resinous aromatic tree, has also been used for cleansing and healing rites. Its smoke is said to attract the good spirits and eliminate the negative energies.

Directions: Allow to smoulder and fill your space with the heady purifying scent. These leaves are versatile and can be used as desired. Light a small mound in a heat-proof burning dish or add to list charcoal disc. Add to a fire pit for an aromatic boost. Be careful with fire and never leave burning herbs alone.

Burn your cedar in a well-ventilated area. Always use with a fire-safe holder or bowl and place on a level, heat resistant surface. Ensure ash and embers are caught safely. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Consult a health care practitioner before use if you are pregnant or suffer from asthma or other respiratory issues. Never leave burning smudge unattended.

NOTE: A lot of our burning herbs are regional and will differ from others due to location. It doesn't make them any less or more, it'll have the same properties albeit it could have slightly different aroma from one from another part of the US. Please bear in mind burning herbs from across America have been used long before the current plant classification deeming a plant to be a particular name. so if you're after a particular classification from a textbook or script remember the use of these sacred herbs were around hundreds of years before non native classification.
