After a long time of not selling Smudge sticks for various reasons I still get the regular question at  Fairs and events... Why doesn't my smudge stick burn and smells not very nice.

I'm sure some might argue or disagree but here's my stance on it:

A tightly wound bundle of sage will struggle to light if too tight and lets be honest here you are cleansing not fumigation a house to the point of it looking like the place is on fire. If you need that much smoke then sorry there isn't enough sage in the world that'll sort that crap out for you, well not sage alone!!!

So from trial and error we found the perfect solution to the over use and wasteful process.

take you herbs, just enough to fill it half full and allow the ball half to spring back. Carefully light the herbs through the mesh and gently blow if needed.

It's as simple as that.
